LDC employees gave thanks by spreading some holiday cheer to the elderly residents at the Laguna Rainbow Center for the annual Thanksgiving luncheon.

Over a dozen LDC employees and managers from all areas of the company volunteered their time to serve the food prepared by LDC’s award-winning Food & Beverage team. The feast served around 50 Rainbow Center residents and staff members. This event strengthens LDC’s commitment to make more than just financial contributions to the Pueblo of Laguna community.

Laguna Rainbow Center is located in Casa Blanca, New Mexico and seeks to enhance the quality of life for the elders in the community. Their mission is to provide these services while maintaining and respecting cultural and traditional values. A Laguna Rainbow Center staff member shared, “The holidays are all about giving and showing generosity, and we thank LDC for providing our residents with a delicious meal. Our residents appreciated the volunteers and the time they spent here at our center.”

During the holidays, LDC enjoys volunteering in the community especially with the elderly . Elders bring a wealth of knowledge, skills, and expertise to a community. As a company, LDC recognizes those values and is devoted to being actively involved in serving the Pueblo of Laguna and its elderly residents. LDC Chief of Food & Beverage Jorge Brasil said, “This event is one of our favorites, we love giving back to the community and seeing the smiling faces of the residents every year. We appreciate being part of this, sharing from our LDC family to others.”

LDC seeks to make a difference in the Pueblo of Laguna by engaging in community activities and volunteering year-round at events such as this one.  It is with the help of great organizations such as Laguna Rainbow Center that give LDC employees the opportunity to be involved and build relationships with not only the elderly residents but the community as well.
