Buffet 66 Fresh Market team welcomed their first customers on Wednesday, November 21st! Long regarded as the best buffet in New Mexico, the legendary Buffet 66 has been re-built from the ground up and is now open for business.

Route 66 employees got first access to the all-new venue with a special event exclusively for employees only. On Monday, November 19th, employees gathered into the new buffet, eager to try everything from the fresh made donuts to the mongolian grill. This event also provided Buffet 66 staff the opportunity to practice working in their brand new environment.

The employee event was followed by the VIP/Media event the next day. Top casino guests, Tribal Officials, business partners, local area Chamber of Commerces and members of the media were invited to try the new venue. During this event a ceremonial ribbon cutting was officiated by the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce and a plaque was presented by the American Indian Chamber of Commerce. Welcoming remarks and addresses were given by John Black, Chairman of LDC Board of Directors and Jerry Smith, LDC President and CEO. Additionally, Congresswoman-elect Deb Haaland shared her excitement on the opening of New Mexico’s best buffet.

With the opening of any new venue, months of tireless planning goes into making sure it is a successful launch. LDC would like to extend a thank you to all team members who help bring this into fruition, from the Buffet Management all the way to the Marketing Department. LDC’s Chief of Food & Beverage Jorge Brasil stated “It is so rewarding seeing the results of all the months of hard work and planning that went into this buffet. New Mexico’s best buffet is back and it’s better than ever!”
