Route 66 Casino Hotel was honored at The Associated General Contractors of America’s 60th Anniversary Celebration as one of 2009’s AGC’s Best Building Winners in the Construction Management-at-Risk category. The 147,000 sq. ft. expansion of Route 66 Casino Hotel, completed in December of 2008, was an example of how the Construction Management-at-Risk method can save costs, while assuring a quality product. Through this method LDC Facilities Director, GT Mason, and his staff were able to reduce project costs by 50%. LDC worked with General Contactor Jaynes Corporation and Rick Bennett Architects along with a large team of engineers and other specialty contractors to make this project a success. The hotel expansion is a great example of how great teamwork, budgeting and time management can result in a successful project. Congratulations to the LDC Facilities team for a job well done!
